Landon's Activation!

We went for Landon's activation today. He smiled when they turned him on. They did the left first and then the right. Now comes the fun part of trying to keep them on him. He hasn't tried to pull them off too much, but his ear is so small it is falling off just with him moving his head around. I had to ride back next to him in the van because every time he turned his head it would pop off.

This day is as exciting as the day our babies and grandbabies were born. Jennifer and Eric , what a great job you have done this past year. We are so proud of you. Love,

Wow! The way he grabbed your mouth after being turned on is priceless! And he is already trying to mimic sounds - the "ah" from the audiologist. Oh, I'm so happy for you!

Mom, you did a good job not crying in those videos. I'm sure it hasn't even sunk it yet. Landon can hear!!! You all made it. Can you believe it?

Can't wait to hear how the next few days and months go. This is such an amazing journey. Please email me if you need anything. I'd gladly try to help from afar.

What an amazing activation! He had incredible responses.

I love how he looked up at you every time her heard a new sound. It gave me chills!

I agree with Drew's Mom. He was totally trying to imitate the "ah". You have a smart boy there! It is going to be so much fun watching him develop.

You will treasure these videos forever. I still can't watch video of Erin's without crying.

Thank you for the fast update! I was hoping to see some video this evening.

What a wonderful smile on his face! That look was what we all hoped and prayed for. He may not remember this moment as he gets older but we all will. Thanks for sharing the clip.
Love to all,

Eric and Jennifer,

The videos are beautiful. A wonderful thing has happened for both of you and for Landon. Technology is an amazing thing. The possibilities for the future are endless. He is a beautiful and very happy baby. Words cannot describe the feeling when you view the videos.

I will try to go to the smallest chapel to give thanks for Landon's new journey. This Thanksgiving Day will be a very wonderful day for the family.

Give Landon a hug and kiss for me. Also gave hugs and kisses to Conner and Garrett.

Congratulations. You made the right decision and will give Landon a wonderful future!!!!!! I was born profoundly deaf, taught speech and a successful hearing aid user for 39 years. Also used the phone. Always been in the hearing world. Never saw ASL til I was 22. Asked "what is that???" Sudden deafness and had the fabulous C Implant 1995 and bilateral 2006. Best wishes to you and your happy family. Molly C C from Florida
